The NAGA CITY COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (NCCDC) is an organization of primary cooperatives operating within the City of Naga. Its membership is presently composed of 79 primary Cooperatives of different nature of business activities, various products and services being catered to their respective members.

Purpose of the NCCDC 

The NCCDC is a multi-sectoral body created to provide a system with regard to policy consultation and coordination of cooperative programs and projects to be established in the City of Naga under the supervision of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).

It shall serve as a mechanism for collaboration, consultation, and coordination in the implementation of various cooperative programs and projects implemented by all government branches, instrumentalities, subdivisions and agencies, and policy initiatives for cooperative development.

To become a council of unified and empowered Cooperatives as partners in countryside development

Vision 

Is to provide and assist cooperatives with services for the Socio-economic upliftment of members through feasible development plans and programs.

Powers and Functions of 

the NCCDC

Naga Coop Enhancement

Formulate measures to enhance the effectiveness of existing cooperatives in the City of Naga

Coop Policy

Propose policies affecting cooperatives for local and national implementation.

Harmonize Cooperation

Coordinate and harmonize the implementation of various cooperative plans, programs, and projects of the government

Coop Coordination

Assist the CDA in the broad-based monitoring and coordination of the implementation of the Philippine Cooperative Development Plan (PCDP), through the collective efforts of all sectors and to develop such mechanisms in line with the PCDP

ABOUT THE NAGA CITY COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (NCCDC)


City Ordinance 2015-002 consolidated and updated the ordinances relative to the creation of the Naga City Cooperative Development Council (NCCDC). The same ordinance defines the composition, functions and responsibilities of the NCCDC in line with the Memorandum Circular 2013-01 Series of 2013 issued by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).

Our Objectives

To ensure efficient and meaningful engagement of services within NCCDC structure by 2020;

To establish strong linkages among cooperatives and line agencies with cooperative development programs and advocacies for sustainability;

To promote the genuine spirit of cooperativism among cooperative members.
